Privacy Policy

What we collect, why, how long we keep it, and what you can ask of us.

Version 1 · Effective 13 October 2026

In short

  • We collect only what we need for the thing you’re doing: a bill link, a reply, a status update.
  • We never sell your data and don’t use it for advertising.
  • What our free tools save in your browser stays on your device. We don’t receive it.
  • We ask for your consent before we collect anything, and you can withdraw it as easily as you gave it.
  • This policy covers businessswift.in and all of its subdomains, such as resources.businessswift.in and status.businessswift.in.

What we collect, and why

Bills you save in Swift Bill

What
Everything on the bill: your business details, your customer’s name, GSTIN, address and phone number, the items and the amounts.
Why
When you press Save, we store the bill on our servers and create a link you can share with your customer. While you’re still filling it in, nothing is sent to us.
How long
The link works for 7 days. After that it stops opening.

The link is public: anyone who has it can open the bill, so share it only with the people it’s meant for. Bill links are never listed in search engines. If you put someone else’s details on a bill, make sure you’re entitled to share them for this purpose.

Messages you send us

What
Your name, email address and message, from the contact form.
Why
To reply to you. We also send you one email confirming we received it.
How long
As long as we need to deal with your message and any follow-up.

Status update subscriptions

What
The email address or webhook URL you subscribe with on status.businessswift.in.
Why
To tell you about incidents and maintenance.
How long
Until you unsubscribe. Every update includes a link to do that.

How you use our websites

What
Pages visited, rough location, device and browser, through Google Analytics cookies.
Why
To see which pages help people and improve them.
How long
Only if you accept analytics cookies, and up to 2 years.

Details, and how to change your choice, are in our cookie policy.

Like every website, ours are delivered through a hosting provider (Cloudflare), which handles technical data such as your IP address to serve pages and protect them from abuse.

Who else handles it

We don’t sell or rent personal data. We use a few service providers to run things for us, and they may only use the data to do that:

  • Cloudflare hosts our websites.
  • Our cloud hosting provider stores saved bills and status subscriptions.
  • Google delivers contact form emails, and runs Google Analytics if you accept analytics cookies.

Some of these providers may process data outside India. We’ll share data with authorities only when the law requires it.

Your rights

Under India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, you can:

  • Get a summary of the personal data we hold about you, how we use it, and who we’ve shared it with.
  • Correct or update data that’s wrong or incomplete.
  • Erase your data, unless we have to keep it by law.
  • Withdraw consent at any time, as easily as you gave it, for anything you consented to.
  • Complain to us, and if you’re not satisfied with our answer, to the Data Protection Board of India (see Complaints below).
  • Nominate someone to use these rights for you if you die or can’t act yourself.

To use any of these, write to [email protected]. We may ask you to confirm it’s you before we act.

Withdrawing your consent

You can withdraw any consent you gave us, at any time, as easily as you gave it. We then stop using that data for that purpose. Withdrawing doesn’t undo what was done before.

Analytics cookies

Checking…

  • Swift Bill: use the button above, or “Withdraw consent” under Save on the Swift Bill page. Links you’ve already shared stop opening within 7 days; to remove them sooner, write to us.
  • Analytics: open Manage Cookies, at the bottom of every page, and choose Reject. Google Analytics stops and its cookies are deleted.
  • Status updates: use the unsubscribe link in any update, or write to us.
  • Messages you sent us: write to us and we’ll delete them.

Complaints

If you have a concern about how we handle your data, write to [email protected] with “Privacy grievance” in the subject. We’ll reply as soon as we can, and within 90 days at the latest.

If you’re not satisfied with our answer, you can complain to the Data Protection Board of India through its online platform. The law asks that you come to us first.

Keeping it safe

Everything travels over encrypted connections (HTTPS). Access to stored data is limited to the people and systems that need it. No system is perfectly secure, but if a breach ever affects your data, we’ll tell you and the Data Protection Board as the law requires.

Children

Our websites and tools are for businesses and aren’t meant for anyone under 18. We don’t knowingly collect children’s data.

Changes and questions

If we change this policy, we’ll update it here and change the date below. If we change what we ask your consent for, we’ll ask you again. For questions, write to [email protected] or use the contact form.
